B Reactor program nominated for honor

A program about Hanford's B Reactor produced by the Hanford Communities and Lockheed Martin will compete for a regional Emmy Award on Saturday.

Lasting Legacy: Hanford's B Reactor was nominated in the category "Public/Current/Community Affairs" for a Northwest Regional Emmy Award.

The Hanford Communities coalition of local governments produces two programs annually on Hanford cleanup issues under a contract with the Washington State Department of Ecology and contracts with Lockheed Martin.

Lockheed also is nominated for its Intense Simplicities video produced for Lockheed Martin's Information Systems and Global Services business area in the categories of "Photographer/Program" and "Promotion/Program/Single Spot."

The B Reactor program can be seen on local access stations including on Charter channels 13 and 99 at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 9 p.m. Tuesdays through June. It airs on Pasco local access channel 12 at 9:30 p.m. Sundays, 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays and 8 a.m. Thursdays. It airs on the Richland and Kennewick CityView channel 13 at 9 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
