By the Herald staff

Work done at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland will be among projects featured on a show on the National Geographic Channel.

Hi-Tech War on Terrorism, airing at 3, 7 and 10 p.m. Wednesday, will look at demonstrations of innovative technologies designed to make America safer.

Among the demonstrations is the Stand Off Detection project tested at the Toyota Center in Kennewick last fall. The project uses remote camera sensors to track crowd movements and infrared and millimeter-wave radar to analyze images for potential explosive threats.
