EPA names acting Hanford project boss

Rich Campbell has been named the acting Hanford project manager for the Environmental Protection Agency.

Nick Ceto, the former manager, took a job with the Department of Energy. Campbell will be assigned to the Hanford project for 4 1/2 months starting next week while EPA selects a permanent manager for the project.

Campbell, who maintains a home in Atlanta, is now an EPA program section chief. He has done regulatory work at several nuclear sites including those in Savannah River, S.C.; Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Paducah, Ky. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering.
